Low vision care in Africa is part of VISION 2020 and focuses on supporting people with irreversible vision loss to use remaining vision effectively. The KCCO manual explains identification, referral, clinical assessment, and rehabilitation. It stresses teamwork between eye care and education services, timely intervention, provision of spectacles and devices, and regular follow-up to improve learning and daily functioning.
